4-21-20 News Update: Due to overwhelming demand, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is unable to accept new applications. They are in the process of awarding grants and wish they could help everyone in this challenging time. Despite preparation for significant traffic, demand overwhelmed the system. They received more than 15,000 applications in minutes and, while they will begin awarding grants based on existing donations, they are no longer able to accept applications. Those who did submit an application will be notified if it results in a grant.
The Save Small Business Fund, funded by contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, provides $5,000 in short-term relief grants to small employers in economically vulnerable communities. - Employ between 3-20 people
- Operate in an economically vulnerable community
- Have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic
The grant application went live on Monday, April 20, at 12pm. See letter from president.
