Stay At Home Order for the State of Minnesota
On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Governor Walz issued a Stay At Home Order for the State of Minnesota to limit movements outside of their homes except to engage in critical activities or to work in what is considered an essential business from Friday, March 27 at 11:59 pm through Friday, May 18 at 11:59 pm.
CDS, CDSA, and CDSF are considered essential businesses, which means we have an obligation to help with slowing the spread of the virus, but can continue to support our clients and their businesses. We are still open for business and are taking all the necessary steps to ensure your tax, audit, administration, accounting, and wealth management needs are properly met with many of our team members working remotely.
You can reach our team members by email or phone. We are also offering appointments by phone and virtually.
Communicating with Clients and Transferring Documents
We have provided alternative methods of communicating with clients and obtaining documents (i.e phone or Skype meetings, as well as mail, email, or our secure CDS client portal). We encourage digital transmission of documents, if possible.
(Please inform your tax preparer if you would like to set up and use CDS Portal to transfer documents.)
Our efforts to assist in flattening the curve of COVID-19
While the governor’s Executive Order strengthens the position of the State of Minnesota regarding their efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we have policies and procedures in place to ensure our employees are able to work remotely—and can continue to serve you, our clients. On March 18, our Partners decided to close our CDS, CDSA, and CDSF offices to the public, in an effort to assist with the flattening of the curve of COVID-19. We want to assure you that the health and well-being of our colleagues, clients, and their families is of the utmost importance to us in this time of #covid19.
We will work diligently to keep you updated with information that affects you and your business—and how we are able to continue to serve you. We’ll notify you when we will re-open our offices via our website, email, and Facebook page. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these changes, and work towards restoring our normal business operations.
You can expect our team to continue with the highest level of service and expertise. We’ll get through this together and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
